There is a series
of difficult skills involved in giving a presentation, both on the day
itself and while I’m preparing for
it. Firstly, I don’t ask other people to help me. I feel I have to learn to
think for myself, so on the day of the presentation I talk about things I
really know. I always go somewhere quiet to think to make sure my mind
doesn’t wander off topic. After I’ve planned my presentation. I always rehearse,
and sometimes I even have my friends listen to it. On the day of the
presentation I just try to keep calm (although it’s easier said than done),
and not worry about making a mistake. If it happens, I apologise and just move
on. The scariest part is, however, when I am asked questions, because I have to
come up with an answer on the spot.
