As there are an
awful lot of such TV programmes, one cannot help but feel that
sooner or later you’ll either meet such a star or you yourself become one.
These people must have a lot to deal with as they go from zero to
hero in the matter of weeks. They are always in the public eye,
virtually everyone int he country will have heard of them. They cannot go out without
being mobbed. But all this has its downside. They cannot misbehave
as it will damage their image. They cannot turn down invitations or be
anti-social with their fans. All in all, a lot of them soon become
disillusioned with the industry as the restrictions are so great.
The inconvenience fame creates in their lives starts to outweigh
the benefits it brings. I honestly believe that we should not
envy these stars but rather feel sorry for them.
