27 Do you think humans have a bad influence on nature? Think of an example.

The example that comes to my mind is thee coral reefs in Australia, I’ve read that some tourists chip bits off coral reefs to take home as souvenirs. On the one hand, tourism is destroying delicate eco-systems such as the coral reefs. Unfortunately, some governments turn a blind eye to the destructive effects of tourism, and do not recognise that tourism destroys the very assets people come to see. Some countries, however, are woken up to this danger and decided to limit the number of tourists to help the environment to recover. Also, doing away with tourism wouldn’t cure all the ills, as tourism  brings employment to previously impoverished areas, so the answer is not a ban on tourism but setting up a model that would make tourism sustainable in the long run.
